At Vineyard Lutheran School we recently rolled out 1:1 iPads. This has been an exciting time, we are always looking for ways to implement SAMR Redefinition style learning opportunities for our students.
A really fun, free app which engages students and encourages meaningful learning is Duolingo.
Duolingo is a free (!) app which works children through challenges building on their basic language skills.
At Vineyard we chose to create a out of school hours challenge, with the aim of engaging students in worthwhile iPads use. The prizes added a delightful incentive!!!
