Outdoor Play

The importance of outdoor play has been garnering a lot of attention in the press of late. ‘The Vineyard Approach’, our whole school pedagogy, recognises the importance of outdoor play, informed by Marc Armitage. We allow our students the freedom to play outside with a variety of natural materials, with many benefits.

Some extrinsic benefits have included children developing fine & gross motor skills, intrinsic benefits have included collaboration skills, an appreciation for environment, sensory opportunities and improved concentration in class.

The playground at Vineyard is a relaxed, fun place to be.
